Wingtip Overview
What Wingtip is and how it works - Synthreo's agentic AI teammate in Threo chat that plans, builds, and delivers dashboards, reports, documents, and apps.
What you can do with Wingtip
Section titled “What you can do with Wingtip”Wingtip is your AI teammate for the actual work. Point it at your data and a goal, and Wingtip builds the dashboard, app, report, or doc - for you.
Wingtip lives alongside Threo chat. At the top of the left sidebar a Threo / Wingtip switch moves you between the two surfaces; choosing Wingtip swaps the sidebar to Wingtip’s own navigation and session history, and the page itself is headed Wingtip (Preview). Where a normal chat gives you an answer, a Wingtip session gives you a finished thing:
- Dashboards - interactive, on-screen, with a live preview as they take shape
- Documents - a live, editable draft you can download as Word, PDF, Markdown, or HTML
- Spreadsheets and decks - downloadable Office files
- Web pages - HTML apps you can publish to a shareable link
Wingtip works in a loop: it reads your goal, drafts a plan, does the steps in its own isolated workspace, shows you progress live, and - on the default Manual approval posture - asks before sensitive actions it has not already been told to always accept. You steer it by replying, the same way you would guide a colleague.
How Wingtip compares to the rest of Synthreo

Wingtip can also build automations in Pylon for you. That creates a real automation in your tenant, so on the default Manual approval posture Wingtip asks first, and the request spells out the consequence - including when the agent it is about to create will start running on its own schedule. On the Bypass permissions posture it does not stop to ask, which is worth knowing before you switch: see Allowing and denying actions. When the build succeeds, technical sessions also get an Open in Pylon link straight to the new DAG canvas or agent editor.
Availability
Section titled “Availability”Wingtip is in Preview and is enabled per organization:
- When enabled, the Threo / Wingtip switch appears at the top of the left sidebar. There is a second door: a Wingtip (Preview) button in the Threo chat composer hands your current work straight to Wingtip.
- When not enabled, the switch is not shown at all and direct links to Wingtip redirect to the home screen. Ask your administrator or MSP about turning it on.
- The first time your organization gets access you’ll see a one-time “Wingtip is live” announcement, and your first visit opens a short “Welcome to Wingtip” intro that ends in Take a quick tour. Replay the intro any time with the What’s Wingtip? button in the Wingtip header, or start the tour directly with Tutorial beside it.
Administrators: the model Wingtip uses, its instructions, and the roles offered in its Your role picker are managed in Canopy under AI Configuration → Wingtip. That surface is Synthreo-internal and narrowly gated - it does not appear for customer or MSP administrators, and not for every Synthreo operator either, so ask your Synthreo contact if you need a change there.
