Share your Synthreo Certified badge

Overview

Every Synthreo Certified credential comes with three shareable things: a badge image you can add to an Open Badges wallet, a LinkedIn entry, and a public verification link anyone can check without signing in.

All three appear on your dashboard, on the card for the credential you earned.

Prerequisites: a Synthreo Certified credential that is currently valid, and your certificate number, which is shown on the credential’s card and looks like SYN-AIF-2026-0123-K7RMX.

Download your badge image

1. Sign in and open your dashboard.
2. Find the card for the credential you want to share.
3. Select Badge image.

Result: a PNG downloads, named for the track - for example synthreo-expert-badge.png.

The file is more than a picture. It carries your credential inside it as an Open Badges 2.0 assertion, so a wallet can read which credential it is, who earned it, when it was issued and where to verify it - from the file alone.

Caution

Save the downloaded file itself. A screenshot, or a copy re-saved from an image editor, keeps the artwork and discards the embedded credential, and a wallet will reject it.

Add the badge to a wallet

A badge wallet collects credentials from different issuers in one place. Synthreo badges follow the Open Badges 2.0 standard, so any wallet that accepts that standard can read them.

Synthreo issues these badges itself - the credential is verified against Synthreo directly, and no third-party badge platform is involved. A wallet is optional: the downloaded file, the LinkedIn entry and the verification link below all work without one.

Wallets accept a badge two ways. Use whichever your wallet offers:

1. Open your wallet and choose its add-badge option.
2. To upload the file: select the PNG you downloaded above.
3. To add by URL: supply https://docs.synthreo.ai/api/cert/badge/YOUR-CERT-NUMBER.png, replacing YOUR-CERT-NUMBER with the number from your credential card.

Result: the badge appears in your wallet, showing the credential name, the issue date and Synthreo as the issuer.

Neither you nor anyone viewing the badge needs a Synthreo account. The wallet reads the credential from the file and confirms it against Synthreo directly.

Note

Synthreo has not tested or endorsed any specific wallet product, and what wallets offer changes over time. Instructure, for example, retired free badge issuing in its Badges product at the end of 2025 (checked August 2026). Confirm a wallet’s current terms before relying on it, and if one rejects the badge or will not accept new imports, tell your administrator which wallet it was and what it reported.

Add the credential to LinkedIn

1. On the credential’s card, select Add to LinkedIn.
2. Review the details LinkedIn pre-fills - name, issuing organization, issue date and credential URL.
3. Save.

Result: the certification appears in the Licenses & certifications section of your LinkedIn profile.

Share the verification link

1. Copy https://docs.synthreo.ai/verify/YOUR-CERT-NUMBER, using the number from your credential card.
2. Send it to whoever needs to confirm the certification.

Result: they see a public page showing the holder’s name, the credential, the issue date, and whether it is currently valid, expired or revoked - without signing in.

This link suits an email signature, a proposal, or a bid response where someone must confirm a certification independently.

What revocation does and does not do

If a credential is revoked or expires, Synthreo stops producing badge images for it and the verification page reports its status.

A file someone already downloaded cannot be recalled - that is true of any downloadable credential, and it is why the verification link matters. A wallet reflects the revocation only if it re-checks the credential against Synthreo; not every wallet does. Anyone who needs certainty should open the verification link, which always shows the credential’s current status.

Troubleshooting

The wallet says the badge is not a valid image. Upload the downloaded PNG rather than a screenshot or a re-saved copy.

The wallet cannot fetch the URL. Check the certificate number and that the address ends in .png.

The badge image returns an error. What it means depends on the response:

Response	Meaning	What to do
410	The credential is revoked or expired.	No badge image is produced. Check the verification link for its status.
406	The credential predates badge images and has no stored assertion.	Contact your administrator.
429	Too many requests from your network in a short period.	Wait a minute and retry.
503	The service is briefly unavailable.	Wait a minute and retry.
404	No credential has that number.	Re-check the number on your credential card.
