Canopy Overview
Synthreo Canopy overview. Manage customer tenants, user accounts, AI models, and application permissions across ThreoAI, Builder, and the admin portal.
Canopy is the administrative portal for the Synthreo platform. It is where you manage customers, users, permissions, and AI model configuration across ThreoAI, Builder, and the admin portal itself.
Access the portal: https://canopy.synthreo.ai
Your login credentials are the same as your ThreoAI credentials, provided you have the Canopy app permission.
What You Can Do

| Platform Admin | Set up GPT models, vendor keys, sensitive data, the MCP catalog, and the skill catalog |
| Analytics | Usage and adoption KPIs across your organization |
| Settings | Organization branding and the sign-in and MFA methods for your users |
| Roles & Permissions | Control what each user can access through hierarchical role assignments |
Portal Navigation
Section titled “Portal Navigation”After logging in, you land on the Dashboard. Use the left sidebar to navigate between sections:
- Dashboard - the 30-day organization snapshot
- User Management - manage users in your parent tenant
- Customers - create and manage child customer tenants
- Sharing - decide who can use what
- Platform Admin - configure GPT models, vendor keys, and catalogs
- Analytics - usage and adoption metrics
- Settings - organization branding and sign-in methods
Use Profile (top-right) to access account settings and submit feedback.
Reporting Bugs
Section titled “Reporting Bugs”To report a bug or send feedback while using the admin portal, use Profile (top-right) → Submit Feedback. Step-by-step instructions are in Report a bug or send feedback.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Issue | Cause | Fix |

| Cannot log in to Canopy | Account does not have the Canopy app permission | Contact your Synthreo administrator to have the Canopy permission assigned to your account |
| Left sidebar sections not visible | Insufficient role assignment | Verify your role is Owner or Admin in Canopy |
| Changes made to a user not reflected immediately | Browser cache | Reload the page after saving changes |
What is the difference between Canopy and ThreoAI? ThreoAI is the AI chat interface that end users interact with daily. Canopy is the administrative back-end where administrators configure who can access ThreoAI, what models are available, and how child customer tenants are structured.
Can multiple administrators manage the same tenant simultaneously? Yes. Any user with the Owner or Admin role in Canopy can log in and make changes. There is no exclusive lock on tenant settings.
What happens if I remove the Canopy permission from my own account? You will lose access to the Canopy portal immediately. Another administrator with Owner or Admin access must re-grant the permission. Contact Synthreo Support at help@synthreo.ai if no other administrator is available.
