Why ThreoAI doesn't include consumer features from ChatGPT or Claude.ai — security trade-offs explained, with a suggested user response script and escalation guidance.

Symptom

- “There’s no image generation”

Alternatively, a user may ask why ThreoAI has capabilities that ChatGPT or Claude.ai do not have, such as access to custom internal agents or specific company-configured AI models.
Explanation
Section titled “Explanation”ThreoAI is a secure, enterprise AI chat portal built and managed by your MSP. It is powered by the same underlying models as ChatGPT and Claude.ai (e.g., GPT-5.4, Claude Sonnet 4.6), but it is not the same product as those consumer applications. The two types of products have different goals:

Why ThreoAI Doesn’t Have Those Features
Section titled “Why ThreoAI Doesn’t Have Those Features”ThreoAI is designed for enterprise security, control, and customization rather than consumer convenience. Key trade-offs include:
Security and data privacy. Features like web browsing and file uploads in consumer apps send data to third-party services and may be used for model training. ThreoAI keeps conversations within your managed environment.
Controlled access. Your MSP controls which AI models users can access, what system prompts are applied, and what data the AI can see. This prevents users from accidentally using unapproved models or exposing sensitive information.
Customization for your business. Rather than generic “GPTs,” your MSP can build purpose-built agents using the Synthreo Builder that are deeply integrated with your business workflows, ticketing systems, knowledge bases, and more.
Responding to Users
Section titled “Responding to Users”When a user asks about a missing feature, the recommended response is:
“ThreoAI is your company’s secure AI platform managed by [MSP Name]. It uses the same AI models as ChatGPT and Claude but is configured for security and compliance in a business environment. Some consumer features like voice or image generation aren’t available because they would route your data through outside services. If you need a specific capability for your work, let us know and we can explore whether it can be added to your ThreoAI configuration.”
When to Escalate
Section titled “When to Escalate”Escalate to your MSP if a user has a legitimate business need for a feature that ThreoAI doesn’t currently support. Some capabilities may be achievable through:
- A custom agent built in Synthreo Builder
- A custom model configuration with a specific system prompt
- Integration with external tools via the Builder’s tool nodes
- An update to the user’s ThreoAI Access Rules to enable additional models
Document the user’s use case clearly when escalating so your MSP can evaluate the right solution.
